On the tee shot, everything conspires to send your ball to the right, so if you cant carry the 3 traps, stay as close to the wood as you dare off the tee!
The 12th tee may sometimes be on the alternate platform above the 2nd green - this is a much easier line for the long-hitters to work with, but you do need to carry the hawthorn thickets in the valley.
The green has the remains of rigg-and-furrow running diagonally through it, so there are no simple putts. If the flag is set back-left, it is often best to ignore it with the second shot and take on the long approach putt from the middle of the green.
